How do we teach adolescents to become responsible and smart economic decision makers? Wall & Södergren (2018) studied what economic literacy actually means in todays society. Coining the terms Resource, Time, and Value, they raised questions on how we could communicate these values to our future citizens and leaders - the children in our schools. Continuing their work, we will create a system for teachers to use both in their daily lectures and for student projects to scaffold and support the challenges of teaching a rather abstract subject to young people.
This is a thesis project, currently in the early stages of identifying stakeholder values and issues. Stay tuned!
